Mary J. Koske, 67, of Holmen passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in her home surrounded by family. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 23, 1956, to George and Joy Sattler. Mary and Skip Koske were married on June 23, 1984, and settled in the Coulee Region to raise their family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Skip; son, Kyle (Becky); grandchildren, Lily and Aliyah Koske; siblings, Lois Larsen (Harvey), and their children Julie, Paul, Sarah and Lisa. John Sattler and his sons Hunter and Tyler. Mark Sattler (Linda) and their children Jennifer, Nichole, and Marcia.
Mary’s biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and being with her grandchildren. She loved animals, owning horses, dogs, cats, and birds. Mary enjoyed spending time outdoors. She took great pride in landscaping her yard and planting flowers. She loved the color purple and you would often find her incorporating purple into her unique fashion style. Mary’s quirky sense of humor would make anyone she came into contact with smile, and you would never see her without a smile on her face. She had the gift of gab and could start a conversation with anyone whether she knew them or not.
Mary will be deeply missed and her family and friends cherish the time spent together and the great memories that were made. Mary had a strong faith and her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in Heaven with her Savior.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of Onalaska, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska, WI 54650. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1201 Avon St, La Crosse, WI 54603. Visitation at 10:00 am and church ceremony at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and can be sent to Immanuel Lutheran School.
