Mary Lou Huebner

Mary Lou Huebner, 68, of Stoddard, WI, died on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born on September 5, 1955 in Winona, MN to Stanley and Helen (Dzwonkowski) Foster. Mary Lou graduated from La Crescent High School in 1973. She married Roger Huebner on July 26, 1975 in La Crosse. She owned and operated the Rockin Inn in Stoddard and also worked at Vicks Bar for many years. Mary Lou loved people, loved her pets, and was an avid Vikings fan. She also gave regularly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Shriner’s Hospital.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Foster, Steven Huebner (Samatha Buesgens) and John Huebner, eight grandchildren, Arthur, Hugh, William, Aurora, Tristan (Teresa Price), Tymber (Matthew Fruth), Elainna, and Sophia, a great-granddaughter Stella, six brothers and sisters, James Grant of Fountain City, WI, John (Cherron) Foster of Mitchell, SD, Susan Yehle of La Crescent, Janet (Paul Mashak) Munoz of La Crescent, Richard Foster of Menomonie, WI, and Lori (Ed) Rosson of Holmen, a sister-in-law Monica (Huebner) Wang, two aunts, Irene Pozanc and Juanita Serwa, two uncles, Gerald Dzwonkowski, and Daniel Dzwonkowski, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger in 2021, her parents, two brothers-in-law, John Yehle and Jorge Munoz, a great-nephew Keaton Bendel, her father and mother-in-law Glenn and Ila Huebner, and her in-laws, Henry Huebner, Glenn “Marvin” Huebner, Marcella “Jean” Horsnell, and Francis Lee.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. Rev. Martin Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Cemetery, La Crescent. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
