Marvin J. Trinkes, 79, of La Crosse, WI., passed away at home on Monday, December 6, 2021. Marvin was born In La Crosse, on May 8, 1942 to Hilary “Larry” and Irene (Marx) Trinkes.
Marvin’s first and most beloved job was working on the family dairy farm. He also picked apples each fall with his friends at Minnesota apple orchards. Later in life he worked in the laundry at Mayo Health System in La Crosse.
Marvin enjoyed fishing, riding his snowmobile, a good game of Euchre, shelling nuts and working in his garden. He was proud of his homemade V8 and giving softball size onions to his friends. A good day included breakfast and sharing stories with his friends at the counter of the Barre Diner.
He is survived by sister Rose Ann Brown, nephews David (Teresa) Brown, Kenneth (Patti) Brown, Justin Trinkes, Stephen (Audrey) Trinkes, great nieces and nephews Ryan, Andrew, Conner and Megan Brown and Edwin and Olivia Trinkes and sister in law Pat Sykes Trinkes. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Henry, one sister Margaret and brother in law Michael Brown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Joseph Ridge Catholic Church. Rev. Biju Chennala Kunjukutty will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the church Thursday evening from 5 until 7 P.M. and again at the church on Friday morning from 10am until the time of Mass.
