Marvin D. Seidel

Marvin Duaine Seidel, 77, of Onalaska, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

He was born in La Crosse on March 6, 1945, to Herbert and Winnifred (Werner) Seidel.  He married Shirley Sisbach on June 20, 1970, at Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church in rural Stoddard, WI.

Marv was employed as a machinist at the Trane Company in La Crosse for 34 years, retiring in 2005.  He loved spending his free time outdoors tending to his gardens or puttering around on his land outside of Holmen and in Chaseburg.

Marv is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sons, Darin (Karen) Seidel of La Crosse, and their daughter, Megan Taylor Seidel of New York, NY, and Ryan (Stephanie Wagner) Seidel of Onalaska; three sisters, Alice McClellan of La Crosse, Carolyn Maack of Kenosha, WI, and Kathy (Dave) Krajewski of Holmen; one brother, Ronald (Sue) Seidel of Onalaska; numerous nieces and nephews; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Betty Sisbach, Debra and Curtis Starch, and Kathy Sisbach.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ethel Pieper; brothers, Herbert Jr. “Sonny”, Orville, Eugene, Larry, Kenneth, Harvey, and Terry Seidel; and his in-laws, Argyle “Bud” and Minnie (Miller) Sisbach.

It was Marv’s wish that there be no services.  He will be entombed in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum in Woodlawn Cemetery.
