Marian Louise Pretasky

Marian Louise Pretasky peacefully passed away on February 11, 2018, at St. Ann Rest Home in Milwaukee.

She was born on September 26, 1925, in Winona, Minn., to the late Carl and Lucille Kutchara. Her brothers, Dick, Carl and Don preceded her in death. On August 10, 1946, she married Thomas T. Pretasky of La Crosse. They shared 39 years of marriage until he passed away on March 9, 1986.

Marian is survived by her children, Barbara Wolff (the late Kenneth) of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Tom (Mary) Pretasky of La Crosse, Karen Pretasky of Dahinda, Ill., and Mark Pretasky (Diane Payne) of La Crosse. She is further survived by her loving grandchildren, Heather Wolff, Kendra (Parker) Rios, Erin (Tim) Bibo, Jennifer Pretasky (fiancé, Brian McCarty), and Stephanie (Dan) Sheffer. She is the much loved great grandmother “GG” to Tyler and Madeline McDonald, Haley Curtis, Lacey and Gillian Rios, and Lillian and Tommy Bibo.

We will remember her for her quick wit and yummy apple pies and her enjoyment of card games and dancing to big band music. She was a good friend and neighbor to many during her long life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 27 ^th , at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 South 13 ^th St., La Crosse. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery and lunch will be served after the burial at the church. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass on Friday at the church.
