Margaret M. Simon, 92, of La Crosse, WI was reunited with her husband on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Sunday’s were a day of family gatherings at Marge’s home. This Sunday was no exception as she had her family by her side. Marge’s faith and Irish heritage were dominant in her life and she passed along that faith to her children.
Marge was born on March 25, 1927 in Cross Plains, WI to Joseph and Katherine (Endres) Coyle. She was the seventh of ten children. Marge met her future husband, Al N. Simon in June of 1946. They were married on September 4, 1950 in Cross Plains, WI. Al and Marge settled in La Crosse, where they eventually took over ownership of Hilton Prescription Pharmacy. Marge was very proud that she received her Camp Mastectomy Fitter Certification. She also handled fittings for back, knee and other medical devices. Because of this, Al and Marge grew the business by opening Hilton Medical Supply.
Marge enjoyed traveling. She was blessed to have taken numerous trips abroad with Al, her daughters, sister Tiny and grand-daughters Michelle and Stephanie. One of her favorite places to visit was Ireland. Marge also enjoyed her road trips with her Sister Tiny and Sister-in-law Betty, baking, cross stitch, trips to California and especially taking care of her grandchildren.
Marge leaves behind her children, Ken (Ruth Mashak): Linda (Jeff) Grunwald, their children Michelle (Russ) Cowley and their children Laura and Austin; Stephanie (Evan) Hamilton: Jerry (Betsy Hadac): Bev (Wayne) Dwyer, their children Joseph Simon (Olivia Thern) Dwyer; Zachary Coyle (Nia Lacy) Dwyer: Bill (Mary), their child Mike (Kelsey) Levenick: Peggy and her children, Daryl (Kendra) Sumlar and their children Anasia, Marley & Kara; Lauren Sumlar and her child Owen; Brandon Sumlar: One sister-in-law Delores Coyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al and nine siblings.
