Margaret M. Herbeck, 70, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. She was born to Wilbur and Audrey (Duggan) Davies on December 9, 1954, in Minneapolis, MN. When she was nine years old the family moved to La Crosse. She attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary and Aquinas High School before earning her bachelor’s degree in social work from Viterbo University.
Margaret married Jack Herbeck Sr. on July 18, 1998. She worked as a supervisor for the La Crosse Aging and Disability Resource Center for many years until her retirement in 2021. Shortly after retirement, she was diagnosed with a severe form of Parkinsons. After her diagnosis, she wanted to be kept at home. Margaret and Jack changed residences and brought on home health workers, giving her the ability to stay at home.
Margaret enjoyed traveling and took yearly trips to Disney. She loved her family more than anything else, especially her grandson, Gavin.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Jack; son, David Solberg; grandson, Gavin Solberg; brother-in-law, Jack Bohm; nieces, Rochelle Bohm and Connie McCarthy; and grand nieces and nephew, Chloe McCarthy, Ashley McCarthy, and Trevor Bohm.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Solberg; and sisters, Patricia Bohm and Katherine Collister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21st at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father James Weighner officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
