Marcene D. Monsoor

Marcene (VerSteeg) Monsoor born 9/28/1935 was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on December 19th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, grace, and dedication. She has now rejoined her cherished husband, Frank, and beloved grandson, Isaac. She leaves behind her 3 children, Laura Monsoor, Nick Monsoor (Marilyn), Anne Sanders (Terry), as well as 4 grandsons and step grandchildren. 

 Marcene's life was one of vibrant energy and selfless devotion. She was a talented Arthur Murray dance instructor, where she met her husband. She brought joy and elegance to the lives of many, teaching them to embrace the rhythm of life on and off the dance floor. Alongside her husband, Frank, she assisted him with all his business ventures, demonstrating her unwavering work ethic and support for her family.

 Above all, Marcene's greatest joy was raising three children, instilling in them the values of love, compassion, and resilience. She was a source of wisdom and encouragement to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

 Marcene's kindness, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the countless lives she touched.

 Marcene’s life was a testament to her deep faith and devotion to Jesus, which guided her in every aspect of her life. She lived with grace, kindness, and a steadfast belief in the power of our savior, Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her strength, and she shared it with others through her actions and encouragement.

 A celebration of Marcene's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Bethany Church in La Crosse. Pastor Mike Kilgallin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by sharing a dance, a laugh, or a story in her name
