Louise Ann (Wiedel) Simon, 73, of La Crescent, MN passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 after a brave battle with cancer. God saw that she was tired and a cure was not to be, so He opened His arms and said, "Louise come with me."
Louise was born March 8, 1945 to Leroy and Antoinette (Zaremba) Wiedel in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from St. Pius Xl High School, Wauwatosa, in 1963. Louise married Ronald Simon at St. Augustine Church in West Allis, WI in 1965. Louise loved new adventures & road trips, spending time with her children/grandchildren, watching Green Bay Packer games and attending the La Crescent Applefest Parade. She also was very involved with the Polish Folk Dancers District 14, La Crosse Jazz Fest Society and owning the Sojourner Café in Lanesboro, MN with her husband Ron. She participated in various church/volunteer organizations and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Louise was employed at local businesses in La Crosse such as G Heileman Brewery, Advance Transportation and most recently-Quillins Grocery Store in La Crescent. Louise was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who never hesitated to help family with her giving heart. Louise's contagious smile and limitless love will be sadly missed.

Danyelle, Joshua, Emily, Gabriel and Magdaline (Jim) Paton along with many cousins, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Simon, father Leroy Wiedel, father in law Rudolph Simon and mother in law Margaret (Reith) Simon.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of Mayo Clinic (special thanks to Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Javed, Dr. Price and Dr. Crockford), Mayo Clinic Hospice Care and La Crescent Health Services for their compassion, concern comfort & care.
A visitation will be held at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 111 South Oak St. in La Crescent MN on Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Rev. Gregory Havel will officiate.
Memorial services and entombment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee, WI at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 16th. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
