Lorraine Margaret Thimmesch

Lorraine M. Thimmesch, 92 of Spring Grove, MN, and formerly of Caledonia, MN, died on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Tweeten Care Center in Spring Grove. She was born in Caledonia on December 22, 1926 to John P. and Elizabeth (Roehkohl) Schiltz. She married Wesley Thimmesch in Caledonia, MN, on October 15 ^th , 1946 and they later divorced.

Lorraine was born and raised on the family farm. She started her career working in various stores in Caledonia.   After marrying Wesley, Lorraine devoted her days to taking care of the farm animals and her children. Lorraine was the typical farm wife, milking cows, taking care of the three boys and making a nice supper for all.   She enjoyed mowing her lawn and reading, especially the Bible. Lorraine enjoyed baking and then eating the sugary treats.

Lorraine is survived by her three sons, David (Mary), Dan (Jackie) and Jan (Sandy); grandchildren, Brian (Stacie ) Thimmesch, Laura (Nick) Musolf, Justin (Kristen) Thimmesch, Danielle (Ben) George, Brad (Rachel) Thimmesch, Megan (Matt Fletcher) Thimmesch, Evan Thimmesch, Jason Thimmesch, Jeremy (Addie) Thimmesch and Sara (Bryan Vohnoutka) Thimmesch; 15 great- grandchildren and baby girl Tillie arriving in October; Taylor, Brady and Tenley Thimmesch; Dominic, Jack, Caroline, Charlotte, and Grace Musolf; Elliot and Owen Thimmesch; Maddie and Jake George, Luke, Weston and Ruby Thimmesch, and her sisters, Irma Klug and Mary Carlson.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Wesley, her parents, her siblings, Marcella Rommes, Helen (Sister Illuminata), Wilfred Schiltz, Leo Schiltz, Myrel Schiltz and John B. Schiltz; and Sisters-in-law, Genevieve Schiltz, Antoinette Schiltz, Angeline Schiltz, Doris Schiltz, and Brothers-in-law, Nicholas Rommes, Wilfred Klug and John R. Carlson.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crescent chapel; 111 South Oak St. Rev. Gregory Havel will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Friday morning at the funeral home from 10am until the time of services.
