Loretta Anne Roth of rural La Crescent died Thursday, December 24, 2020 in her home. She was born July 21, 1928 in Superior, Wisconsin to Andrew and Ann (Koski) Herubin. She graduated from Superior High School and Superior State University majoring in Art and Music.
She is survived by a brother, Gene Herubin, 6 children, Laurie Schmeckpeper, Gail Beare, Sara Weissenberger, James Roth, Jon Roth, and Nancy Zech, as well as 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A virtual service was held via zoom on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Burial is scheduled for Saturday, January 2, 2021.
Loretta loved to play the violin, sing, and plant flowers. She was also known in the community for the Bible education work she did as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 51 years.
Loretta’s hope down to her last day was to live forever on earth in a beautiful paradise without sickness, pain, or death as stated in Revelation 21: 3, 4. She believed steadfastly in the hope of coming back to life on earth in a future resurrection as taught by Jesus in John 5: 28, 29 and John 11: 23-25.
