Lora L. "Mitzi" Bartsch

Lora L. “Mitzi” Bartsch, 82, of La Crescent, MN, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse, WI. Mitzi was born on September 3, 1939, in La Crosse, WI to Alvin and Luella (Mades) Bartsch. She attended Ireland School through 8 ^th grade and graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1957.

Living in Winona, she was a long-time employee of Valley Farm Supply. Then she moved to La Crescent and was employed at Beverly Health Care and later worked at Pump and Munch as a cashier. She was an avid collector of depression glass dishes but really loved her Jewel T, Autumn leaves dishes of which she had an extensive collection. She also collected coins, especially pennies, John Deere Toys, and patches. She enjoyed drinking her pepsi, and earlier in life was known to drive her 1964 Buick Skylark convertible around.

Mitzi is survived by a sister, Joyce Witt; two brothers, Kenneth (Bonnie) Bartsch and Gary (Evelyn) Bartsch; and many nieces and nephews.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her parents; half-sister, Mary Spatz; stepfather, Rollad Frappier; brother-in-law, Cottie Witt; nephews, Kyle Bartsch and Adrian Bartsch; special aunt and uncle, Esther and Robert Lehmann; and her cats, Cuddles and Sammy.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, South Ridge with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. A meal will follow in the church basement.
