Leon Albert Wolfe, 86 years old of La Crosse, WI, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025. Leon was born on March 2, 1938 in Winona, MN to Lenora (Limpert) and Albert Wolfe. He was a beloved husband to Kay (Krajewski) Wolfe for 41 years and lived in La Crosse for most of his life.
He was a devoted father to Lori Ann (Wolfe) Bauer, Tammy Sue (Wolfe) Heintz and Todd Leon Wolfe, A cherished Grandfather to Leanndrea Zaczek, Jonathon Bauer, Benjamin (Kesha) Heintz and Jeffrey Williams along with 4 great grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert, Gerry and David. He is survived in death by his sister Sylvia (Wolfe) Harper.
Leon will be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law Pam Hyre and Sue (Mike) Easterday, brother-in-law Stan (Renee) Krajewski, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was a passionate aviator, both full size aircraft and models of every size, motorcyclist, and an electronics whiz. He was a professional truck driver for many years and a proud Navy veteran.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1215 Redwood St., Onalaska. Pastor David Baumgarn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a Veterans organization of your choice.
