Leon D. "Lee" Pollack

Leon D. “Lee” Pollack, 88 of La Crescent, MN, died on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at La Crescent Health Services. He was born in Eau Claire, WI, on June 26, 1932 to Leo and Loretta (Lasseck) Pollack. He married Jean M. Kohlke in Eau Claire in 1952.

Leon had worked in the furniture sales, reupholstery and repair business his entire life and at one point in his career managed of Kelly Furniture in La Crescent. In his free time Lee enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and traveling south in the winter. Lee could always be seen with a cigar in his mouth.

In addition to his wife Jean of La Crescent, Leon is survived by three daughters, Sue (Jim) Fried of Holmen, WI, Nancy (Tom) Hurm of Onalaska, WI, Mary Boardman of Onalaska, two sons Steve Pollack of Holmen, WI, Scott (Shelly) Pollack of Gilbert, AZ, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, daughter in law Lois Pollack and his dear “adopted” grandkids the Ryan family. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick and his granddaughter Betty Jean (“BJ”).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, March 26, 2021 at The Church of The Crucifixion in La Crescent. Rev. John L. Evans II will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crucifixion Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the church on Friday morning from 10am until the time of services.
