Lee M. Pfaff, 71 of La Crosse, WI, passed away peacefully, with her husband by her side, on Monday, September 25, 2023 after complications with cancer treatments and pneumonia. She was born on July 3, 1952 to Joseph and Marjorie (Buros) Haggerty in La Crosse, WI.

Lee joined the Century Telephone family as a switchboard operator when she was 18 years old. She was an operator for many years before changing positions to a Pay Phone Collector, a position she enjoyed until she joined her soulmate in retirement in 2004.

Lee and Wayne married in 2000 on the beautiful island of Kaui; where they continued to visit over the 20 plus years of marriage they shared together.

During their many adventures, they enjoyed camping, NASCAR, traveling, winters in Florida or Kaui and spending time with family and friends. She was proud of and loved her Irish heritage and traveled to Ireland with Wayne in 2016. Lee is survived by her husband and best friend, Wayne Pfaff; children Ryan Tauscher, Kelly (Jason) Schleifer, Meghan (Mike Marlowe) Tauscher, Jen (Shane Krings) Fisher, Stacy (Ken) Johnson and Ryan Pfaff. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Joseph and Marjorie Haggerty, brother - Michael Casey Haggerty, and son- Michael Thomas Tauscher.

A Celebration of Lee's life will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at B's Place Event & Venue located at 102 Leonard St N, West Salem, WI. Happy Hour start time - 4:00pm.
