Leanne M. Bahr

Leanne M. Bahr, 56, of La Crosse, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her home. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 7th at 2:00 PM at Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of services.

Leanne Marie Bahr was born on January 28, 1965 in St. Paul, MN to Fredric and Elenor (Bonnie Dahlquist) Bahr.  Leanne was part of the deaf and hard of hearing community throughout her school years and participated in many of their functions. She played basketball in her 7th and 8th grade years and was quite good. Throughout her life, Leanne developed a love for animals and nature. Being outside gave her a sense of peace. She enjoyed taking care of stray cats and several family dogs as well as watching the birds, squirrels, and rabbits. Leanne also loved spending time with her family. She had lots of patience for not only the animals but for electronics and figuring things out at her own pace. She loved to mow grass with a riding lawn mower and didn't always like to share that responsibility.  She was very kind-hearted and enjoyed interacting with her health workers and doctors.  Leanne battled several health issues from Crohn's disease, Breast cancer and Kidney cancer.

Leanne is survived by her father, Fredric; and siblings, David Bahr, Linda Bahr, and Rosanne (Eric) Bahr-Sopher.

Leanne was preceded in death by her best friend, her mother, Elenor (Bonnie); both sets of grandparents; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Leanne will be missed but never forgotten. She is now with the angels to help look over the rest of us here on earth.
