Lavonne Darlene Berger

LaVonne Darlene Berger, 86 of La Crosse passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home. She was born July 19, 1931 in La Crosse to Orval and Pearl (Colby) Becker. She was the oldest of 10 children. She loved her family dearly and they loved her. She always thought of everyone else’s needs before she thought of her own.

LaVonne owned and operated LaVonne’s Bar on Pearl Street in La Crosse for many years and in her later years did respite care in her home. She was very thankful for her many sisters and enjoyed their many get togethers playing Yahtze, Farkle and drinking hot tea.

LaVonne is survived by two daughters; Diane (Don) Bartz of Bridge City, TX and Denise (Mark) Martell of Mindoro, WI; two sons; Dennis (Gigi) Cramer of Brice Prairie, WI and Jeff Cramer of La Crosse; six grandchildren, Teresa Novotny Meadows (Russ) of Nederland, TX, Jodie Novotny Bruce of Katy, TX, Tara Nimocks of Toluca Lake, CA, Dion Cramer of La Crosse, Josh Cramer of Brice Prairie, WI and Austen Cramer of Rice Lake, WI; six sisters, Marilyn Pfaff of Onalaska, Carol (Roger) Weeks of La Crosse, Diane Holte of Onalaska, Lynn (Joe) Lanzel of Arizona, Sue (Al) Spande of Onalaska and Janet (Wyman) Felde of DeSoto, WI; a brother, Ed Becker of La Crosse; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Terry Michael Novotny and Jacob Thomas Martell; two sisters, Patricia Larson and Charlene Kacena.

She will be missed forever by everyone who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 27 ^th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
