Larry R. Myren, 80 of Onalaska, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 24, 2019. He was born December 10, 1938 in Whitehall, WI to Aldor and Minnie (Hermann) Myren and graduated from Whitehall High School. On November 23, 1957 he married Sandra Hanson and together they had four children. They later divorced in 1982.
Larry had worked in computer operations for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Topeka, KS for nine years. The family later moved to Holmen where Larry worked as a computer programmer for the La Crosse Trane Co. for over 22 years until his retirement in 1993. Larry was a longtime member of Holmen Lutheran Church. He loved to trout fish and enjoyed vintage sports cars, especially his Trans Am
Larry is survived by four children; Terry Myren of Bay City, TX, Steven (Lucy) Myren of Brooklyn Park, MN, Keith Myren of Onalaska and Lisa (Scott) Horton of Hayward, WI; three granddaughters, Mackenzie Myren of Minneapolis, Alexandra Myren of Brooklyn Park, MN and Renee Horton of La Crosse; two brothers, Gerald (Donna) Myren of Whitehall, WI and Bruce Myren of Kingston, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Beverly Peterson; two brothers, Donald and Roger Myren and a sister-in-law, Susie Myren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 7 th at the Onalaska City Cemetery with Pastor Matt Toso officiating. A luncheon will follow at Drugan’s Castle Mound Country Club.
