Larry Dean Bauer

Larry Dean Bauer, 63, of Dakota, MN, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 in his home. He was born on July 21, 1957 in La Crosse to Walter and Leona (Fabian) Bauer. He married Lillie Kerns on July 2, 1977 in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dakota. Larry worked as a heating and air conditioning installer for over 25 years. He was a life-long member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Nodine. Larry enjoyed hunting, farming, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Lillie, daughter Heather (Darin) Wunnecka of Winona and their children Peyton, Addison, and Elias, Son Ryan (Tami) Bauer of Dakota and their children Jeremy, Cole, and Devin, daughter Chelsea (Thad) Flaherty of Dakota and their children Alivia and Ethan, and daughter Leah (Shawn) Davis of La Crescent and baby Davis expected in December of 2021, a brother David (Diane) Bauer of La Crescent, sister-in-law Debbie Bauer of La Crescent, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joanne Bauer, and a brother Lyle Bauer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Nodine. Pastor Dennis Harbach will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent are in charge of arrangements.
