On Monday, January 11, 2021, as the sun shined brightly, the Gates of Heaven opened wide for Miss Kristine Loeser, age 70, of Onalaska, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, to enter when at which time we are sure her dear mother stood there, arms extended to greet her and along with Kris's many lifelong and loving fury companions. On late Monday morning, as her lord called her Home and after a long and very courageous battle with breast cancer, her wait finally came to an end as they all began their eternal lives together. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Rivers Harvest Church, 1001 Quincy St, Onalaska, WI 54650. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Pastor Andy LeFebre will officiate.
Kristine Marie Loeser was born on August 13, 1950, in Madison, WI. She was a social butterfly and loved to spend time with her extended family and friends. Kris enjoyed NASCAR, knitting, and wine. Over the last 11 years, she has lived with her second family, Barb and David Gates. Together they travelled across the country visiting different NASCAR tracks. Kris attended all of the Gates’ family functions. She also loved to visit different wineries with her best friend, Leanne Erdman, and her husband, David. Kris cherished the bond that she had with her dog, Smokey.
Kris is survived by her dog, Smokey; Barb and David Gates and their family; best friend, Leanne and David Erdman and their family; and many other close friends.
Kris was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Nora Loeser.
Special thanks to Dr. Benjamin Parsons and his staff for the exceptional care they provided and also to the staff on the oncology floor at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
