With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kimberly Kay Stockstill, who passed away on March 18, 2025, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, at the age of 52. She was born on December 25, 1972, in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Kimberly’s life was filled with love, resilience, and countless cherished moments shared with her family and friends.
From a young age, Kimberly had a deep passion for music. She studied the piano and was an active member of her choir, sharing her love for music and enriching the lives of those around her. Later in life, she pursued a nursing degree, a field she held close to her heart. Kimberly loved the medical profession.
In her later years, Kimberly faced significant health challenges. In 2020, she was diagnosed with Cryoglobulinemia, a rare condition that impacted her health suddenly and severely. Despite these challenges, Kimberly fought with courage and strength.
Kimberly is survived by her sons, Zachary and Jacob Stockstill; her mother, Betty Landowski; her sister, Beth (Kevin) Baumbach, along with her nephews Gabriel and Zander. She also leaves behind her nephews, Bobby and Chris (Shaina) Wilson. Kimberly’s extended family includes aunts and uncles Lynn and Rhonda Landowski and their son Jeffrey of Tennessee; Charlene and Donnie Englebert and their sons Greg and Matthew of Plover, Wisconsin; as well as Jean and Steve Colombe and their children Jeanette, Josie, and Benjamin of Amherst, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Theodore Ferdinand Oestreich (1944), Laura (Hahn) Oestreich (1992); her father: Edward Theodore Oestreich (1983); her brothers: Daniel Edward Oestreich (2003) and James Allen Oestreich (2010); her uncle: Paul Charles Landowski (2000); her grandparents: Frank Edward Landowski (2002) and Jeanette Adeline (Bartkowiak) Landowski (2022); her uncle: David Francis Landowski (2023); and her sister: Jeannine Ann Wilson (2025).
May Kimberly’s memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, music, and care will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Pastor Andrew Franzo will officiate. There will not be a luncheon after.
