Kimberly M. Sheehan

Kimberly Marie Sheehan, 54, entered the Heavenly Gates of Paradise in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 19, 2023 where she was greeted by our loving Lord, her nephew Jacob, and her mother.  Many other relatives were there to meet her as she came to her final resting place.  She had to get to Heaven early to gather all the “Little Saints” to begin her Heavenly daycare.

Kim was born on October 29, 1968, in Lakewood, CA., to Edward “Jake” and Charlotte (Gill) Lonkoski.  She attended Elementary school in Hokah, MN., and graduated from La Crescent-Hokah High School in 1986.  Kim attended Winona State University where she majored in Elementary Education and received her degree in 1990.

After graduation, she worked in education at both Gundersen Daycare, La Crescent Senior High School as a Paraprofessional, and presently in her dream job as the Daycare Director of St. Peter’s Little Saints Daycare in Hokah, MN.

Kim married Bill Sheehan on May 1, 2010.  They lived on the Sheehan Family Farm outside of Hokah, MN., until the time of her death.

In addition to her husband, Bill Sheehan; she is survived by her father, Edward “Jake” Lonkoski; sister, Lisa Lonkoski; and niece, Morgan Dayton.  She is also survived by Jacob Sieger (she was his Guardian), as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Lonkoski and nephew Jacob “Jake” Dayton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 25, at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah, MN.  Reverend John L. Evans II will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service at St. Peter’s Church. The family will have a private burial at a later date.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Gundersen Health System Critical Care Unit and Hospice, Fr. Evans II, Carolyn Horihan, and Mary Kay Sheehan for all the care and support they have shown the family during this difficult time.

Kim’s wishes are “that everyone wear something purple, or Viking related” to her service.
