Kenneth K. Keller

February 20, 1954 — July 21, 2022

Kenneth K. Keller, 68, of La Crosse, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI, where he had resided for the past 10 years.

He was born in La Crosse on February 20, 1954, to Raymond and Mary (Volk) Keller.  He attended La Crosse schools and later graduated from Central High School.  Shortly after graduating, Ken enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and proudly served for four years.

Following his service in the Air Force, Ken lived in Alaska and Colorado for number of years before returning to the La Crosse area.  He worked as a carpet installer for several years and also did maintenance work at Bluebird Springs Campground.  Ken loved being outdoors and loved hunting and fishing, hiking, camping, and 4-wheeling.

He is survived by his son, Jon Keller of Holmen; his grandsons, Dylan, Alex and Tyler Keller; his siblings, Dan Keller of West Salem, Sherry Keller of La Crosse, and Jim (Nancy) Keller of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Keller; brothers, Randy and Mark Keller; and a sister, Peggy Benrud.

A gathering in celebration of Ken’s life will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30th, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., in La Crosse.  Burial, with military honors, will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
