Keith A. Springer

Keith Springer, 65 of La Crescent, MN. died on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Gundersen Health System La Crosse. He was born in Winona, MN. on August 1, 1953 to Donald and Nancy (Reese) Springer.

After high school he met Christine Styba and they got married on July 18 ^th , 1981, in a small ceremony in Winona, MN. By this time, Keith had started his lifelong career in sales working for Winona Distributing. In 1985, Keith and Chris moved to La Crescent, MN, and in 1986 they welcomed their only child, Amber. Keith was now working for Western Distributing in La Crosse, WI, where he would dedicate 20 years of his life, advancing to Sales Manager before leaving to briefly sell cars. Keith then fulfilled his desire to be his own boss by opening Springer's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, which he operated for the next 15 years.

Keith was a people person who loved to pull your leg and loved to go golfing. But, above all else, his passion in life was his motorcycle. Countless hours were spent riding all over the area just enjoying the freedom of the ride. He made several trips to Sturgis to be around the things he loved. Only one thing brought him more joy and that was being a grandpa. He loved being a grandpa with every part of himself and he was the best we could have ever asked for.

Keith is survived by two daughters from a previous marriage, Cheyenne (Diane) Springer, Charity Springer, his wife Christine and daughter Amber (Daron) Peterson, his sister Bonnie (Henry) Eckert, his brother Bruce (Diane) Springer, his granddaughter Sawyer, his grandson Phoenix and nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Nancy Springer.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5 until 7 P.M. at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crescent chapel; 111 South Oak St.
