Kathy M. Cook

Kathy Mary Cook, age 68, of Galesville, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home. She was born on August 20, 1953, to Wally and Ruth Wunsch in Wausau, WI. On February 20, 1998, she married Gordon Cook.

Kathy worked for the USPS for 30 years. She enjoyed taking trips to Arizona and Nevada, going to the casino with her best friend, Theresa, and watching the Green Bay Packers play. She also loved going to the grandkid’s ballgames and spending time with family.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Gordon; sister, Maureen (Dwight) Stark; stepchildren, Keith Cook (Jill), Brenda Cook, Deanna Cook, and Kim Cook (Ryan); nephew, Brian (Kris) Stark; nieces, Sarah Stark, Rachel Stark, Jenny (Bill) Born, Nicole Zollman (Mike), and Elizabeth Rose.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Wally Wunsch; brothers, James and Michael Wunsch; and stepson, Jeff Cook.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Holmen Lutheran Church, 228 Morris St, Holmen, WI 54636. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Chris Sesvold will officiate. Burial will take place at Green Mound Cemetery immediately following the service.

Per Kathy’s request, her family asks that everyone in attendance wear casual clothing.
