Kathleen J. Scholze

Kathleen J. Scholze, 82, of Hokah, MN died on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Caledonia Care & Rehab. She was born at home in Hokah on March 21, 1935 to Peter and Rose (Walsh) Feldmeier. She held various jobs including selling Avon for 25 years. Many hours were donated to caring for her grandchildren. Kathleen was actively involved in St. Peter’s Altar Society and the Caledonia Deanery of the Council of Catholic Women, serving in leadership roles. Her family and faith were the center of her life. She was an excellent cook and baker, well known for her hamburger and potato lunches for the grandchildren, apple pie and slices, chocolate chip cookies and turkey with dressing for the holidays.

Kathleen is survived by her four children, Michelle (Robert) Rifenberg of La Crescent and their son John (Cherie), Sheila (Steve) Bolduan of Caledonia and their family Maribeth (Justin) Haller, Anne (Brad) Felten and Patrick (fiance’ Jaralyn), Jenifer (William) Schiltz and their family Peter, Michael and MaryEllen (Brian) Goetzinger, James (Kim) Scholze and their family Greg (fiance’ Becca) Alex and Taylor (fiance’ Chris), three great grandchildren Henry, Gunner and Maverick Felten, one brother Howard (Ruth) Feldmeier and two sisters-in-law Barbara Feldmeier and Helen Feldmeier along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Scholze, an infant son Robert Francis Scholze, three brothers Jim, Joe and Bill and a sister-in-law Joanne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah. Rev. Pratap Reddy Salibindla will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. The family would like to thank the staff of Caledonia Care & Rehab and St. Croix Hospice.
