Kathleen J. Brodbeck

Kathleen Jean Brodbeck 79, of La Crosse passed away peacefully on Friday May 12 ^th , 2023.

Kathy was born in Winona, MN on May 25 ^th 1943 to Oscar “Ozzie” Gschwind and Jean Lindsay.

In her lifetime our mom loved to garden, and to read and she also enjoyed cross stitching and sewing. She always did her crossword puzzles in pen. Kathy loved her children and grandchildren above all else. They were the joys of her life. Our mom was a strong, independent, furiously protective mother and grandmother. She had a beautiful smile and her laugh was contagious and brought smiles to all who knew her. She was fun and enjoyed life, and was always quick to say I love you. She will be missed by her surviving children; Lisa (Curt) Zobeck, Bradley Holthaus, Kimberly Hanson and Jaime Kremer. She was a loving grandmother to; Anthony (Megan) Zobeck, Ashley Zobeck, Zachary (Alicia) Hansen, Breanna (Paul) Zimmer, Alainna (Chad Servais) Hanson. Meila Keeney, Henry Kamla. Kathy was also a great grandmother to Jensen, Azalia, Daisy, Zaiden, Francis, Vincent, Sophia, Eilam, and Eloise.

There will be a visitation on Friday May 19 ^th at 10 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery Chapel, memorial services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow service in the historic mausoleum.

In a phrase that Kathy loved “I did it my way” And she did! She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
