Katherine A. Collister

Katherine A. “Kay” Collister, 73, of La Crosse, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was born March 30, 1951, in Minneapolis, MN to Wilbur and Audrey (Duggan) Davies and graduated from Aquinas High School. Kay earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Services from Viterbo University and dedicated her 40+ year career to La Crosse County helping children in need until her retirement.

Kay was an incredibly kind and generous person who always was in high spirits. Her favorite indulgence was chocolate.

Kay is survived by her sister, Margaret (Jack) Herbeck of Hillsboro, WI; a brother-in-law, Jack Bohm of Farmington, MN; nieces, Rochelle Bohm and Connie McCarthy; nephew, David Solberg; great nieces and nephews, Gavin, Chloe, Ashley and Trevor. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Patricia Bohm, and a nephew, Michael Solberg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31st at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father James Weighner officiating. A private entombment will be held at the Catholic Cemetery, in La Crosse. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
