Karla Rae De Laney

Karla Rae De Laney, 85, of La Crosse, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in her home. She was born on October 4, 1934 in La Crosse to Louis and Gertrude (Nuttelman) Stello and was later followed by her beloved sister Cheryl. Karla graduated from Central High School and attended business school in Milwaukee. Karla worked as a receptionist at Mayo Clinic, also a legal secretary, and an Emergency ward Secretary at Gundersen Lutheran for over 20 years before retiring. She married John De Laney in 1956 and they had two sons, David and Todd. They later divorced. Karla enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, crafting, and especially spending time with her family. She was an avid Packer fan and loved all the dogs she had over the years.

She is survived by her two sons, David (Jean) and Todd (Laura) two grandchildren, Robert (Tamini) and Rebecca, three great-grandchildren, Amelia, Sophia, and Rea, her sister Cheryl (Bill) Tesnow and their children, Michelle (Craig), Daniel (Kathy-deceased) and Nicole.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at First Ev. Lutheran Church, La Crosse. Pastor Richard Pamperin will officiate. Burial will be in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, West Salem. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until the time of services.
