Karin Ann Rudolph, 75, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully at Gundersen Health System on Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born on August 22, 1943 to Bernard and Margaret (Dorn) McCarthy in Lincoln, NE. She graduated from Lincoln East High School and moved to the La Crosse area in 1977. Karin worked for years at Trane Company and then Wisconsin Technical College. She met Donald G. Rudolph, the love of her life, in 1978. They married on October 11, 1980. Karin liked being active and physically fit. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, and spending winters in Florida. She also enjoyed going out to dinner with the “wild women”.
Karin is survived by her husband Don, brother Michael (Loretta) McCarthy, daughter Kris (Kyle) Monahan, son Jason (Michelle) Monahan, grandchildren, Margaret (Jason) Watkins, David (Tina) Wilhelm, Jr., Keenan Therrien, Alexandria Monahan, Britney (Noelle) Youngren, and Adrian Shuda, great grandchildren, Mitchell Rodriguez, Blake Rodriguez, Izayah Brown, Nevaeh and Jackson Mickelson, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 PM, and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
