Karin M. Mclain

Karin M. McLain, 56, of La Crosse, WI passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 in her home with her family at her side. She was born on June 5, 1967 in La Crosse to William and Alice (Reichert) Lichtie, Jr. She married James McLain on April 22, 1989 in La Crosse. Karin worked as a Drivers License Examiner for the State of Wisconsin for 33 years. She enjoyed visiting casinos with Jim, researching La Crosse’s history, fishing and family vacations in Chetek, WI. Karin’s motto was learning to enjoy what comes next instead of worrying about it.

She is survived by her husband Jim, son Jarred (Sara) McLain, daughter Jennifer McLain, brother Michael (Terri) Lichtie, sister Michelle Arnett, sisters-in-law Donna McLain and JoAnn Rybold along with special friends Sandra Devine and Timothy (Lisa) Soller. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kevin Lichtie.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse.
