Karen A Peterson

Karen Arlene Peterson, 77, of La Crosse, WI passed on September 23, 2022, in her home. She was born December 30, 1944, in Viroqua, WI and was the middle of three daughters born to Melvin E. Peterson and Catherine E. Dennison.

Karen graduated from Viroqua High School in 1964 and relocated to Chicago where she met Paul Lambert and was married on April 23, 1966. The couple had five children and resided for most of their marriage in Carpentersville, IL. She later married Dan McReynolds in October of 1980 and had an additional child from that union. Karen and her children relocated to La Crosse in 1984.

Karen collected dolls, teddy bears, and other memorabilia. She spent her time building dollhouses along with other miniatures and scrapbooking. She loved decorating for holidays and celebrating them with her family & friends, especially Christmas, and had a grand Christmas village that she displayed and added to every year. She also enjoyed spending time with her large family or hanging out with friends doing various activities, including camping, playing cards or board games, and even square dancing, among other things.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents; both sisters, Kathleen, and Rita; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her daughter, Shawna (Ted) Anderson of Austin, MN and five sons, Scott (Charity) Lambert of New Lisbon, WI, Shane (Laura) Lambert of Zimmerman, MN, Steve (Lori Dolan) Lambert of Rockland, WI, Spencer (Brittany) Lambert of Cambridge, MN, and Shay McReynolds of Caledonia, MN; twelve grandchildren, David Skinner, Heather (Ryan) Deicher, Miranda (James) Hipp, Drew Elvik, Cheyanne (Brandon) Rolbiecki, Brandon Elvik, Derek Elvik, Cody Lambert, Noah McReynolds, Nate Allen, Marcel Lambert, Zach Lambert; and three great-grandchildren, Rain, Roughton, & Scarlett.
