June Lorraine Heineck, age 88, of Holmen Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at her residence, Hearten House III surrounded by family.

Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Holmen Lutheran Church, 228 Morris Street, Holmen, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday morning. Burial for both June and Lawrence will be at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, Wisconsin at a later date.

June was born March 20, 1936, in Wood Township, Wood County on Polish Road, Pittsville, WI to Otto and Wilhelmina (Semenske) Schalla. June was united in marriage to Lawrence C. Heineck on June 29, 1957, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.  They were blessed with 60 years of marriage and the birth of five children living on Ridge Road in Seneca Township, Wisconsin Rapids. She truly enjoyed her life as a homemaker; cooking, baking, preservation of food and sewing while dedicating herself to raising children. She loved gatherings where family and friends were present, especially camping trips and cookouts.

June was a community-minded volunteer with Seneca Homemakers Club, Moccasin Rangers 4-H Club as a sewing leader and a volunteer caregiver at Riverview Manor, enjoying several years caring for her mother and other residents, as well as volunteering at the famous St. Lawrence Church “Fish-Fry.” As the years passed, she had a child daycare and a home cleaning service along with being an Election Worker and the Home Health & Safety Assistant in Seneca Township, WI.

In later years she and Lawrence enjoyed traveling the United States, as well as including a special trip to Germany to visit relatives.  June continued her life-long love of sewing by gifting grandchildren and great-grandchildren with handmade blankets and pillows. She was an avid solitaire player, enjoyed word searches, creating seasonal crafts, and sending greeting-card correspondence to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed weekly church service at her assisted living facility along with sing-alongs and bingo.

June is survived by five children: Mark (Mariette Meyjes) Heineck of Cottonwood, AZ; Gregory (Kristine) Heineck of Holmen, WI; Pamela (Rick) Jacobson of Rockford, IL; Bradley (Julie) Heineck of Holmen, WI and Dorothy Howard of Marshfield, WI; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and sister Sandy Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 granddaughter.

Sincere gratitude to the staff at Prairie Home and Hearten House III Assisted Living Facilities in Holmen as well as St. Croix Hospice who provided care and assistance in her final days. We are thankful for the clergy at both facilities, especially Pastor Linda McPeak and Pastor Matt Toso.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent c/o Greg Heineck and will be distributed to June’s favorite charities.
