Julitta "Jetz" Hefti

Julitta Ann “Jetz” Hefti, 80, of La Crosse, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 30, 2020. She was born in La Crosse on September 14, 1939, to Forrest and Audrey (Franklin) Berg. She attended La Crosse schools and was a 1958 graduate of La Crosse Central High School. On June 1, 1963, Julitta married Willis Hefti at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

Julitta worked at Gundersen Clinic for a short time, then worked as the bookkeeper for the family business, Berg’s Garage, for many years. She finished her work career with American Greeting before retiring. In her free time, Julitta enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by Willy, her husband of 57 years; a son, Joel Hefti and his wife, Pamela, of La Crosse; and two grandchildren, Megan Hefti (Carter Kauffmann) and William Hefti. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Kathleen Hefti; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Charlie Hefti.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8 ^th , at Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Pastor Robert Wassermann will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Guests are asked to be mindful of social distancing guidelines while in attendance and masks or facial coverings will be required. Memorials may be directed to Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church.
