Judy Ann Hafner

Judy Ann Hafner, 75, of La Crosse, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Mayo Health System in La Crosse. She was born on March 7, 1942 in La Crosse to Donald and Rita (Mosey) Petersen. Judy was a 1960 graduate of Aquinas High School. She married Frank Hafner on September 7, 1963 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Judy had worked as a beautician until she found her true calling as a mother. For many years, Judy volunteered at her children’s schools in the Catholic school system. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, traveling, spending time with her Aquinas classmates and above all else cherishing her grandkids. She was the definition of a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, supportive sister, and trusted friend.  Her unconditional and selfless love made a profound impact on her family. She is now reunited with her son Mike.

She is survived by her husband Frank, four children, Kevin (Kari) Hafner, Brian (Roxanne) Hafner, Kerri (Nate) Finstuen, and Kristi Hafner, nine grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Katherine, Gavin, Cole, Ella, Ben, Evan, and Allison, a sister Nancy Petersen, a brother Jim (Joan) Petersen, and an uncle Ray Mosey. She was preceded in death by her son Mike, her parents, and grandparents, Arthur and Leona Petersen and Antone and Kathryn Mosey.
