Joyce Irene Burzinski

Joyce I. Burzinski, 87 of La Crosse, died on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. She was born in La Crosse on October 8, 1930 to Edgar and Mildred (Schroeder) Craig. Joyce was a 1948 graduate of Central High School. On September 8, 1949 she married Robert M. Burzinski in La Crosse. For many years Joyce had worked as a District Manager for Playhouse Toy Co. where over the years, she earned many trips which allowed her to travel extensively around the world. In 1968 she graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and taught English at Onalaska High School until her retirement in 1996. Joyce was an active Bridge player and an avid reader.

In addition to her husband Robert of La Crosse, she is survived by her two daughters, Susan (Harold) Cooper of La Crosse and Barbara (Mike) Jerue also of La Crosse; one granddaughter Laura (Kurt) Johnson of Albuquerque, NM., two great grandchildren Hadden and Cooper; one brother Fred (Mary) Craig of Holmen, Wis. and sisters in law Mary Craig of La Crosse and Margaret Burzinski of Alaska. She was preceded in death by two sons Daniel Robert Burzinski, Martin John Burzinski, one brother Harold Craig, one sister Margaret Page, brothers in law Robert Page, James Burzinski, Dick (Maxine) Burzinski and sister in law Maryanne (Curt) Libke.
