Joshua M. Olson

Joshua Michael Olson, born in La Crosse on May 18, 1983, passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 38. He was a father to 2 daughters, Bailey and Farrah, and 2 sons Chase and Felix, a significant other to Chrystal Schossow, a son to Mike Olson and Theresa Moore, a stepson to Scott Moore, a brother to Nicholas Olson and Christina Labeff, an uncle to Nathan and Natalie Labeff and Dylan and Daniela Olson, a grandson to Jackie Langley, and a nephew to Todd and Linda Eber. He also had several cousins and many close friends.

Josh worked several different jobs over the course of his life and did his best at each of them.

His hearing impairment inspired him to appreciate many of the little things that others might take for granted: the soft texture of a comfy chair, the freshness of a garden salad, the beauty of a crackling fire, the rich flavor of a good cup of coffee, the cool relief of the river on a hot summer day. Fishing was a hobby at which Josh excelled. He was in tune with feeling the line as his bait moved in the current and was in tune with nature in general. He spent much time in nature, hiking nearly every trail he could find in this beautiful Coulee Region.

He was a patient and caring person, always assisting wherever he saw someone in need of help. We will deeply miss Josh’s willingness to give to anyone who needed a boost with an unconditional and genuine heart. We will all miss him greatly and will cherish our memories of him. Rest in peace Josh.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Langley, and his uncles Mike Langley, Tom Olson, and Peter Skaff. His family will have a celebration of his life at a later date. The Schumacher – Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family.
