In Loving Memory of Jack Schaller

Jack passed away at the age of 76 at Springbrook Assisted Living facility on January 28, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.

John James (Jack) Schaller III was born on October 7, 1947 in La Crosse, WI to John & Eileen (Ravenscroft) Schaller.  He grew up and lived in La Crosse his whole life, attending Central High School.  Jack enjoyed golfing and hanging out at the YMCA with his “Y” friends.  As an only child, he also enjoyed outings and dinners with his many brothers and sisters in-law.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne (Gerke) whom he married on April 12, 1969, and his children Melissa (Paul) Borsheim and Brad Schaller.  He loved spending time and occasional vacations with his family as well as attending all his grandchildren’s sporting events.  Matthew and Claire Borsheim will miss their adoring “Papa”.  Jack is also survived by many cousins and in-laws.

Our family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the Mayo hospice team for their care and assisting us with Jack’s final journey.  A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska, WI at 11am on Monday, February 5, 2024, with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
