John Paul Dresen

December 5, 1943 — July 3, 2018

John Paul Dresen, 74, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the La Crescent Health Care Center. He was born in La Crosse to John and Evelyn (Selonke) Dresen on December 5, 1943. John graduated from Aquinas High School. He had worked and retired from La Crosse Footwear. He then was a caregiver for his mother until she died in 1991. John’s enjoyment centered on his faith, fishing, bowling and golfing.
He is survived by his sisters, Charlotte Masewicz and Mary Soller and a sister-in-law Kate Dresen. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard, and brothers-in-law Ed Masewicz and Harry Soller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date in the Catholic Cemetery.
