Jere Lee Edward Anderson, 82, of Onalaska, WI, died peacefully on January 25, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born April 27, 1938, to Gertrude and Maurice Anderson of Gladstone, MI. He is survived by his daughter Lorri Carleton (Scott), Solvang, CA, son Michael Anderson, San Diego; three grandchildren, Sam Carleton, Los Angeles, Hayli Carleton, Santa Barbara and Mikayla Anderson, San Diego; sisters Maryce Farrell, Rapid River, MI, Pam Stevens (Mike) Saline, MI, Trudy Driscoll (Tom) Saline, MI and brother, Jim Anderson, Plymouth, WI. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Trudy Ramsbottom, Onalaska, WI, who was always by his side. His brother Tom Anderson and sister Mary Phelan Rienks (Randy) preceded him in death.
A graduate of Michigan State University and Certified Public Accountant, he owned and operated his Accounting Firm in La Crescent, MN for 45 years prior to his illness. The family would like to express their gratitude to Lakeview Health Care Center, where Jere received excellent care and to Mayo Hospice.
Jere will be remembered as a generous, kind-hearted soul who adored his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jere always had a joke or witty pun for those who knew him and was eager to meet new people; he would strike up a conversation with anyone!
Due to the COVID pandemic, memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Onalaska Church of Christ, 1415 Well St, Onalaska WI 54650.
