Jeanne Wiltinger

December 2, 1933 — February 4, 2018

Jeanne G. Wiltinger, 84, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

She was born in La Crosse on December 2, 1933, to James and Hilda (Miller) Iverson. She attended Forest Lake High School in Forest Lake, Minn., and was the Valedictorian of her graduation class. Later in life, Jeanne received her Bachelor’s degree from Viterbo College.

Jeanne was a partner in the Dave Moore Advertising Agency for 22 years and ran the agency on her own for several years after the death of her business partner. In retirement, she volunteered with RSVP and as a Foster Grandmother who helped children who needed assistance with reading at Hintgen Elementary School.

When her sons were younger, Jeanne served as a Cub Scout den mother and was very proud when her son, John, became an Eagle Scout, with her full support. She was very devoted to her family and loved hosting family gatherings, especially at Christmas time.

Jeanne was an avid golfer and golfed for many years in several area golf leagues. She was an animal lover throughout her life and rescued many dogs and cats over the years.

Survivors include her children, Lisa (Lee) Tippery of Hokah, Minn., Greg Wiltinger of Minneapolis, John (Salina) Wiltinger of Germany, and Jim (Eileen) Wiltinger of Genoa, Wis.; grandchildren, Keith Wiltinger of La Crosse, Courtney (Ryan) Sutherland of Minneapolis, Christopher (Meg) Wiltinger of Minneapolis, Ian Connell of California, Anthony and Julia Wiltinger of Genoa, and Jolene and Leah Wiltinger of Germany; great grandchildren, Henry and Lucy Sutherland; long-time friend, Jim Lewis; and her cat, Storm. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Steve Wiltinger.

In accordance with Jeanne’s wishes, there will only by private family services. She will be buried by her parents in Oak Grove Cemetery.
