Jeanne Irene Steuck

Jeanne Irene Steuck of Dresbach MN passed away September 23, 2024, peacefully at home. She was born in La Crosse, WI on June 10, 1934, to Irene Elizabeth (Hosig) & Walter A. Baeder. She graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1952. She graduated from Virgina Commonwealth University in 1956. Jeanne enjoyed working at Fantles, Doerflingers and J.C. Penney.

A true river rat, Jeanne cherished the years she lived on the river and passed that onto her family. Although she had many wonderful travels, home and family were always best. She was our biggest cheerleader in sports and in life. 

Jeanne is survived by three daughters. Barbara (Terry) Rick, Katherine (Andre) Solum and Susan (Thomas) Brodnax; seven grandchildren Carl (Emily) Rick, Katie (Ryan) Burke, Jacob Rick (friend Ericka Maertz), Kelsey (Spenser) Williamson, Dan (Rissy) Solum, Alicia (Allen) Zielke and Ben Johnson; and eleven great grandchildren Calvin, Finn, and Mabel Rick, John, James, Lucas and Elise Williamson, Kennedy and Macie Zielke and Brynnley and Breckett Burke. Five nephews Larry (Judy) Baeder, Steve (Jill) Baeder, Eric (Cindy) Baeder, Gary Groom and Brad (Kristy) Groom.

She was preceded in death by her long-time friend Albert F. Brohmer, her parents, her brothers Duane and Donald Baeder, sisters in law June and Rosemary Baeder and nephew David Baeder.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the La Crescent United Methodist Church. Pastor Dianne Ciesluk and Pastor Mark Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Jeanne wanted this to be a celebration so please wear your brightest clothing.
