Jeanette "Nettie" (Klos) Schoen, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 in La Crosse. She was born to Alfred and Ann (Kirchner) Klos on January 10, 1934 in Wisconsin.
She attended St. Joseph’s Ridge School, graduating the 8th grade. She married Richard Schoen on August 23, 1958. They raised their three children in the home that they built. Jeanette worked at Wettstein’s for many years along with cleaning for many families. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles.
She is survived by her children: Randy (Elizabeth) Schoen, Duane (Linda) Schoen and Janine (David) Hutchison; seven grandchildren: Alexandra “Ali” (Andrew) Hallacy, Chris Schoen (Avery Dietzen), Emily Schoen, Andrew Schoen, Eric Schoen, Christa Hutchison, and Kaitlyn Hutchison; great-grandchildren: Zoey, Nathan, and Lilly Hallacy. She is also survived by her sisters: Patricia Antony, Clarice (Donald) Wuensch; brother: Cornelius (Mary) Klos; sister-in-law: Jean Klos; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard; brothers: Gregory (Catherine and Roberta), Harold (Edith), Lauren, David; sisters: Bernadine (Donald) Harbort, Evelyn (James) Le Jeune, Virginia (Arlan) Dwyer, Adrianna “Ann” (Kenneth) Miller, twin sister Janet; and brother-in-law: Donald Antony.
Family and friends will be received from 5-8pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Avenue S., La Crosse and from 10-11am on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 130 Losey Blvd S., La Crosse. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at the church. Burial will take place at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank Brookdale Memory Care for the care she received over the last 5 years, Dr. Mary Bassing, and the ER department of Emplify Health.
