Jeanette M. Niedercorn

Jeanette M. Niedercorn, 86, of Onalaska died on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Onalaska Care Center.

She was born on May 30, 1934 in La Crescent, MN to Andrew and Ella (Erickson) Meyers. On May 15, 1954, she married Henry “Hank” Niedercorn at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in LaCrosse and they were married 53 years.

Jeanette had spent her working years serving in healthcare, early on as a dental hygienist. She then pursued nursing and worked as a nurse at St. Francis Medical Center until she retired in 1995.

Her passions in life included travel, reading, cooking, baking, bingo, and playing cards. But, her greatest loves were her family and her faith. Jeanette valued time with her family dearly and she will be greatly missed.

Jeanette is survived by her daughters; Vickie (Randy) Gartner of Holmen, and Lisa (Tony) Ainley of Schaumburg, IL; five grandchildren, Shelly (Dan) Beach of Dakota, MN, Renata LaSeure of Holmen, Tabatha Olson of Onalaska, Lexius Kurzawinski, and Lantz Kurzawinski both of Schaumburg; five step-grandchildren, Dulcey (Tony) Lawler of Apple Valley, MN, Audrey Haar of Oshkosh, Mark (Alexis) Ainley of St. Charles, IL, Kristin of TN, Stephen (Natalie) Ainley of Streamwood, IL; great-grandchildren, Cavell (Lamonica), Tyler, Tamaira, Ashtyn, Hailey, Braedyn, and one great-great grandson on the way; step great-grandchildren, Jakob, Slade, Mason, and Brooklyn; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Malay of LaCrosse and Jean Lindsey of Holmen; one brother-in-law, Bernard (Pat) Niedercorn of Onalaska; four God-Daughters; Carol, Laurie, Mary, and Rebecca; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews and special friend Terry Bullock.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband and parents; three children, Bruce, Linda, and Brian; sister-in-law, Elaine Given: and brothers-in-law, Bob Malay, Bill Given, and Charles Lindsey, Sr.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to all of the staff at the Onalaska Care Center for the loving care they gave Jeanette over the past 12 years.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in La Crosse. Pastor Joanne Richmond will officiate. Friends may call on the family Friday, from 9am until departure for the cemetery at Schumacher-Kish funeral and cremation services, 200 West Ave. South.  Those in attendance at the visitation are asked to practice safe social distancing.
