Jean M. Pollack

Jean M. Pollack, 91, of La Crescent, MN, died on Friday, July 14, 2023 at La Crescent Health Services.

She was born in Eau Claire, WI, on February 24, 1932 to LaVern and Fern (Jordan) Kohlke. She married Leon D. “Lee” Pollack in Eau Claire in 1952.

Jean had worked for Heth Hardware in La Crescent for many, many years both on the sales floor and in bookkeeping.  She enjoyed knitting prayer shawls for Mayo Clinic and blankets for the animal shelter. In the winter, she and Lee would head south in their motorhome. She loved making trips to the casino and also played euchre right up until the end of her life.

She is survived by three daughters, Sue (Jim) Fried of Holmen, WI, Nancy (Tom) Hurm of Onalaska, WI, Mary Boardman of Onalaska, two sons, Steve Pollack of La Crescent, Scott (Shelly) Pollack of Gilbert, AZ, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, daughter in law Lois Pollack and her dear adopted grandkids the Ryan family. In addition to her husband Lee, she was preceded in death by one son Patrick, one granddaughter Betty Jean (“BJ”) and grandson Kenny Pollack.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Church of the Crucifixion in La Crescent, MN. Rev. John L. Evans II will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the church one hour prior to the mass.
