Jason M. Moore

Jason Michael Moore, 47, of La Crescent, MN passed away on May 25, 2021, while engaged in one of his favorite activities collecting mushrooms. Jason was born to Larry and Jacqueline Moore on August 27, 1973. He graduated from La Crescent High School in 1992. He remained in the La Crescent area and worked a variety of jobs, becoming quite skilled in many areas including carpentry and mechanics. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t figure out or fix. Jason was a fisherman, loved the outdoors and was incredibly knowledgeable about both. He learned to play guitar at a young age, and his love of music continued always. He had the most wonderful genuine heart and THE best sense of humor. If you were close to Jason, you have laughed your hardest. Jason will be forever missed by his family and friends. Jason is survived by his father Larry Moore of La Crescent, MN, sister Erin Moore (Jordan Clark) and nephew Shay Hall of La Crescent, Mn, sister Carrie (Christian) Staehly of La Crescent, MN, grandmother Joanne Moore of Onalaska, WI formerly of La Crescent, MN, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jason is preceded in death by his mother Jacqueline Moore, maternal grandparents Myron and Betty Waldow, and paternal grandfather Al Moore Jr., all of La Crescent, MN. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the local authorities and volunteers who assisted in the search and recovery. There will be a celebration of life for Jason on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Old Hickory Park in La Crescent, MN from 5-9 pm.
