Jane Lynn (Dickson) Maas, 73, of LaCrescent MN died unexpectedly at Springbrook Assisted Living on April 28th, 2024. Jane was born October 7th, 1950 to Betty and Ray Dickson. Jane grew up in LaCrescent, MN and graduated LaCrescent-Hokah High School in 1968. During her working years, Jane was an in-home daycare provider, waitress, and property manager at Lancer Village. Jane always had a love for animals and had many pets throughout her life. Jane enjoyed spending time listening to music, singing, fishing, playing games, and visiting with family and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Ray Dickson; her brothers Charles and Jimmy Dickson; her mother-in-law Adeline Maas and father-in-law Robert Maas. Jane is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Maas; her children Robert Albrecht (Christy Short) and Jennifer Albrecht (Nicholas Bissen); stepdaughter Kimberlee (Gregory) Ashwell and stepson Jeremy (Theresa) Maas; grandsons Elliot Barnheart and Joshua Hohlfeld; and step-grandchildren Katja, Haidyn, Jonah Ashwell and Lydia, William, and Evelyn Maas; sister Beth (Mike) Welch; several nieces and nephews; and her two kitties Missy and Mutley.
In honoring Jane’s request, a private ceremony will be held on May 4th, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the LaCrescent Animal Rescue (523 N. Chestnut St., LaCrescent MN 55947). The family would like to thank Springbrook Assisted Living staff for providing such love and care to Jane over the last three years.
