James Albert Trussoni, 92, of Onalaska, died on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. He was born on March 23, 1925 in Genoa, WI, the youngest son of eighteen children to John and Martina (Gilardi) Trussoni. Jim was a US Marine veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 792 in Rockford, IL. Jim was a successful entrepreneur and real estate developer who went from carpentry to real estate development with several offices in the Rock River Valley area in Illinois.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, seven children, Larry (Jennifer) Anderson, Steven (Susan) Trussoni, Kathleen (Brian) Beggerow, Douglas Trussoni, Julie Trussoni, Jill (James) Hendle, and Mark (Shelley) Trussoni, many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and two sisters, Alberta Clark and Sister Drucilla Trussoni. He was preceded in death by his first wife Janet Trussoni and three sons, Kenneth, James and Charles Trussoni.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. Rev. John Parr will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM and again on Friday form 10:00 AM until the time of services.
