Irma M. Wright

Irma M. Wright, 85 of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Hillview Health Care Center. She was born in the town of Greenfield, Wis. on September 3, 1932 to Nick and Pauline (Kaiser) Klos. She married John E. Wright in 1955 and they later divorced.

Irma was born and raised on a farm on St. Joseph Ridge. Earlier in life she had worked at Schmidty’s Restaurant for many years and later worked at Safe Way Cheese and finished her working career as a greeter at Walmart. She had enjoyed gardening, taking long walks, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters; Linda Wright, Sandy Devine and Bonnie Wright all of La Crosse, four sons; Gary (Rachelle) Wright of Onalaska, Steve (Sandy) Wright of Bangor, Wis., Dennis (Dawn) Wright of Onalaska, Doug Wright of Onalaska, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, February 5, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska. Deacon Frank Abnet will officiate. Burial at St. Joseph Ridge Catholic Cemetery will take place at a later date. Friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 9:30am until the time of services.
