Irma J. Fricke

Irma J. Fricke, 89 of La Crescent, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Springbrook Village in La Crescent. She was born in Excelsior, WI on July 8, 1934 to Paul and Jessie (Bartels) Adams. On October 25, 1952 she married Merrill Fricke in Excelsior, WI and they later divorced.

One of Irma’s greatest joys in life was being a grandma and she especially loved that she got to spend time with her great grandchildren. She worked several various jobs throughout her working career. Irma was a wonderful cook and an accomplished musician, playing organ and piano at the churches she attended. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, and volunteering.

Irma is survived by two sons, Randy Fricke of La Crescent and Glen Fricke of Onalaska; four grandchildren, Charles, Hillary, Raleigh, and Amber; four great grandsons, Hayden, Landon, Jaiden, and Antiawn; and daughter-in-law, Jan Fricke.

Irma was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Merrill; eldest son, Dennis; siblings, Pauline, Gary, Theron, and Ivan Adams; and daughter-in-law, Sherry (Randy) Fricke.

A private graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hokah, MN.
